Food At Last - We Three Chronicles, 2001

I don't think a Burger King has ever been loved as much as we loved this one in Georgetown, Grand Cayman.  We'd just come off a 6 day passage from Cartagena, Columbia with Dwight sick for over half of the passage and the engine sick for all of those 6 days.

We were tired, stressed and very, very hungry. The previous night we had anchored just off Georgetown and the next morning spied this wonderful gourmet restaurant within dinghy distance.

After clearing ourselves into Grand Cayman and surrendering our little spear gun (not allowed in G.C.), we reved up the dinghy motor and got ourselves to Burger Kings' dinghy dock, climbed the white ladder and practically ran inside to eat the most delectable hamburgers ever made.

We've had a soft spot in our hearts for Burger King ever since.

Big and Small - Chapter III France 2003

Remember when your parents told you that happiness doesn't depend on what you have but on what you do with what you have?

That big black boat sure looks comfortable.  Bet inside there is a full bathroom, big kitchen, soft beds and squishy chairs around a TV....all the comforts of home.

The little green boat probably has a pull out bed, camp stove and porta-potti.

Still, the little boat is traveling while the big boat is tied to the side of the canal.  Hmmmm.

So, having a good time on the European Waterways doesn't always depend on the size of the boat.

Gee, Mom and Dad were right.
